Your new DILA is a powerful electric skateboard and with great power comes great responsibility! Here is a summary that will help you ride safer – safer for you as well as for people around you. Read the instructions carefuly and test your DILA safety knowledge by taking the test on the bottom of this page.

Always check your DILA before riding. Here are a few suggestions of what you can do. See if the following applies to your board:

Always wear a helmet when on your DILA, even if you are riding slow – there are other people around you who might not be accustomed to sharing the road with modern vehicles like yours. We suggest you use other protective gear like knee and elbow pads as well. Be cool, wear a helmet!
3. learning to ride
Take your time for the first meters with your new board. Find a safe, obstacle free environment with a smooth and dry surface and practice! Get accustomed to your board and test it’s handling at low speeds, than gradualy progress as you get better.
You might feel like you could go faster too soon. That is a false feeling! Be aware of your capabilities and don’t test the limits. Hold your horses! There are always things you can not anticipate. Remember to drive safe.

4. DIFFERENT SPEED MODES
Your DILA has 4 speed modes so you can ride safely in different environments. Remember to always switch to a slower speed mode when riding on the streets to comply with the local law. Speed modes are made for you and other peoples safety!
5. riding surface
These are just a few of the most common indicators that the road is unsafe to ride on. Always proceed with highest caution if you encounter any of them. If you do however, try to slow down before closing in and avoid any turning on them. Street surface is not a LAB controlled environment so always be ready to react accordingly if you encounter any surface annomaly.

6. BREAKING DISTANCE AND TURNING RADIUS
Get used to the breaking distance of your board – it varries depending on your speed, weight and surface you are riding on. Test it out in a safe environment. While riding, breaking distance and turning radius of your board are always in symbiosys, especialy in critical situations. Make sure to know your DILA capabilities!
